Why We Built This
If you've ever driven an hour to a horse show that got cancelled, or spent an evening scrolling through Facebook trying to find barrel racing events near you, you know the problem. The equestrian world is rich with activity — clinics, shows, rodeos, trail rides, lessons, boarding — but finding it all is a frustrating, fragmented experience.
Small and medium barn owners are doing everything themselves. They post to their own website if they have one, maybe share to a local Facebook group, and hope word gets out. There's no central place. The Horse Herd is that place.
What We Do
The Horse Herd aggregates equestrian events from barns, fairgrounds, associations, and organizers across the United States into one searchable, map-based hub. We also offer a Horse Trip Planner that helps riders find verified overnight horse motels, feed stores, vet clinics, and trailer parking along any route.
Everything is free — for riders looking for events, and for barn owners listing them.

Getting your barn or events listed is simple. Send us an email with your barn name, location, website (if you have one), and any upcoming events. We'll add you to the directory and start pulling your events automatically where possible.
There are no fees, no contracts, and no tech skills required. If your barn has a Facebook page or a website with an events calendar, that's all we need to get started.
For Riders
Search by location and radius to find events near you. Filter by type — shows, clinics, rodeos, lessons, boarding. Use the trip planner to map out a multi-day haul with overnight stops at verified horse motels.
Always verify event details directly with the barn or organizer before heading out — events can change and we update our listings as fast as we can, but things happen.
